Welcome to the 2012 North-Central Regional AIChE Conference at the University of Akron homepage!

The conference is now over, and if you showed up, thanks for coming!

The conference will be held on April 20 and 21 (Friday and Saturday). The conference will feature multiple events, including the annual Regional Chem-E-Car competition, Research Paper competition, brand new Research Poster competition (found only at the University of Akron!), and Chem-E Jeopardy competition (each of which has its own information page, use the links to the right), as well as many others. For a full listing of the events planned, please visit the Schedule page.

If you plan on attending the conference, please visit the Registration page. Late registration is now open!

Unfortunately, the deadline for submitting an abstract to enter one of our research competitions has passed.

The deadline for receiving chemicals for the Chem-E-Car competition has also passed. If you have not yet sent your chemicals, please contact Robert Browne via email (rab65@zips.uakron.edu) to make arrangements.

For all Chem-E-Car teams, the hydrogen tank we provide will be fitted with a regulator. To use the tank, you will need a 1/4" Swagelok compression fitting. Again, please contact Robert Browne via email (rab65@zips.uakron.edu) with any questions.

If you have any questions about this conference that have not been addressed on this website, go to the Planning Committee page and contact one of the members listed. Also, if you have any suggestions for additional information we could supply on the site, or ideas for how we could make the site better in general, please contact our webmaster Andy Janish (amj45@zips.uakron.edu).

Finally, we would like to thank all of the companies who helped us by sponsoring this event. The full list of companies and other contributors involved in this conference can be found on the Sponsors page. Each sponsor will have a booth set up at the event, so be sure to check them out if you attend!
