The American Society of Civil Engineers is a professional organization of Civil Engineers. It publishes 33 scholarly journals and provides a broad spectrum of professional codes and standards. It promotes continued education and oversees 8 professional institutes and many technical groups. It is the overarching organization of this student chapter.

The American Society of Civil Engineers, Akron-Canton Section is the local section of professionals involved in ASCE. They have monthly meeting with presentations as well as a variety of fun activities sponsored by their Younger Members Group. With they're wide-reaching contacts, they make for a great networking group for student members.

The Committee for the Future of Civil Engineering is a committee of professionals dedicated to attracting talented young people to civil engineering. CFCE gives out a lot of scholarships to UA civil engineering students every year. They also provide the funding for the High School Model Bridge Competition.

The Civil Engineering Department of at the University of Akron makes everything possible that our chapter does. They facilitate our meetings, as well as donate time and money into helping us out with whatever we do.

The Ohio Valley Student Conference is a regional conference of ASCE student chapters from the Ohio Valley area to get to gether to meeet the other local chapters and put their engineering skills to the test with some friendly competition.
